St Oliver Plunketts:
The U14 team have played 2 games in the Feile B League.
On Sun. 2nd March. away to Suncroft and with the wind in their favour led 2-11 to 1-6 at half time. In the
second half Suncroft with the strong wind slowly notched their way back into the game and scoring a goal
with five minutes to go left only 3 points between the teams. Good commitment was shown by both teams
and in the end the lead built up by Plunketts in the first half and the determination by the backs in the second
left Plunkett with a final score of 2-14 to Suncroft 2-11.
On Sat. 8th March at home to St. Laurence's the pattern of the game was similar to the previous Sun. St.
Laurence's playing very good football led by 6 points at half time. In the second half St. Laurence's started
stronger and stretched the lead further. Plunketts battled hard through-out the field and this determination
paid off as they slowly got back on level terms after 20 minutes. From there on they took control of the
game and finished 3-15 to St. Laurence's 3-5.
